Why, you ask?

Take a few minutes to click through the Focused Highlights presenters. There is some amazing stuff coming out of the Midwest. Ideas and Angles deals strictly with social media and how companies can utilize the online tools to further their business. From beginning discussions of Highlight Midwest, I assumed this would be centered around social media and social media tools. Not the case. There is some really cool stuff coming out of this region and a lot of people are connecting through this event which may lead to even more collaboration. Things are really shaping up for the Focused Highlights day event at Record Bar.

Ideas and Angles has been working to research the local Kansas City projects and companies in order to accurately portray them in what seems to be a really neat format bringing Kansas City, Des Moines, and Omaha together. We are really excited to engage a great group of people to not only show them what is happening in KC, but teach them how to get involved.

The best part is that we are learning so much and making some great connections that may lead to really cool stuff in years to come.

Having a panel at these events seems to be really popular these days. Having different view points from different sizes of company/project and different cities allows for some really unique insight. People from different points of the industry dealing with very similar issues sitting on the same panel can really lead to breakthroughs.
