Thanks Pete, for breaking the post down to facts. Dealing with facts help us cut through the muck and the mire and, at least, acts as a guide to somewhere close to the truth.

For the gap in what I heard was the absence of growth. A contentment to just be what you is. And there are enough tales of woe out there from companies who no longer exist that if you aren’t moving forward, you might as well be moving backward.

I’m reminded of the Far Side, where the sheep is in a pen full of other sheep and he rises and screams at the top of his lungs, “We don’t have to be just sheep!”

And our region’s economic health seems to be filled with sheep right now. And I think there were more than a couple of people at highlight midwest who remind us that we can be so much more.

I have been reading “Wikinomics” - book by Don Tapscott and Anthony Williams. Some of the case studies of Wiki successes are simply phenomenal! Highlight Midwest can be one of those collaborative successes! Good Luck.

I agree with Mike its great to see the community keep going and supporting each other instead of oh the event is over lets forget about everyone till next time.

I have some more presentations that will be showing up in my blog as well as I am looking to highlight some of the sites i found out about while at highlight midwest.

It’s great to see new content still appearing out here on the site. I would love to see things keep moving all the way up until next year’s event. This is a great place to keep tabs on what is happening across the Midwest. Still need to get a few #hm1 posts out myself.
